CODE ALICE is an Anglo-Swiss duo dedicated to concocting a brand of Dark Pop that goes down like a spoonful of honey laced with battery acid. The project consists of vocalist Grace Willis and producer/multi-instrumentalist Yvo Brönnimann. Their lab is based in Thun, Switzerland. They are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut EP titled ‘Am I the Monster?’.
With their debut single, 'Horror Stories,’ CODE ALICE throw the culture of fear onto the autopsy table. Serrated synths buzz relentlessly to cut through the sternum and split the thorax. Once the rib cage is wide open, surgical blades make quick incisions, on the beat. Let’s just say that the song is neurodisruptive in the best way possible, like honey dipped battery acid: a mouthful of contradictions.
